Online Event Facilitation

Brief: To research, prepare and facilitate a 2 day online forum for The Bellagio Initiative

The Institute of Development Studies together with The Rockefeller Foundation and The Resource Alliance are running The Bellagio Initiative. Over 2011 they are running a number of face to face meetings and online discussions looking at human wellbeing and ‘living well together’. IDS asked us to facilitate a 2 day online forum looking particularly at how ICTs can effect human wellbeing around the world.

Using the Eldis communities platform we researched for the online event, helped to structure the discussion, organise the attendees and facilitated the conversation throughout the two days.

The key themes that surfaced during the two days have been fed in to the timetable and discussion areas scheduled for the large annual Bellagio conference held in Italy in November 2011. Key outputs for the discussion were a blog post “Why people and problems come before ICT” and a presentation summarising the key activity.
